Mazuki Asian Fusion Hibachi in Roxbury

Pros: It's easy to get too and there's not too many other Asian restaurants nearby. Service is good and the hosts are friendly. Its clean.Cons:Food was pretty average. The teriyaki chicken was dry and the carrots were undercooked. And the prices were a little higher than I'd expect for this kind of food.

I've come here a couple of times and the service is really good. The sushi and rolls are really good, and the hibachi is some of the best I've ever had. I love coming to this place with friends, and they enjoy it just as much as I do. It can get a bit crowded at times, and the restaurant itself is pretty clean.

The food was great and so was the staff. I would definitely be going back. I don’t have any complaints. The food got out in a timely manner and it was great.

Best Hibachi Place!Great Service And Great Food

This is the place to go if you finally get a quiet Xmas and want to just kick back and enjoy some good hibachi! The staff is very nice chef’s entertaining humor is just right without being over done, just like the food!

This place is very spacious with nice decor. Pretty good food, but the chicken was a little dry, and the tempura was a little bland. However, the Miso soup was very good. You can also get hibachi in the dining area. Just keep in mind, you can and will hear the hibachi in the other room.

Food was good! The ambiance was not too good and no free refills here. Service was ok host wasn't too friendly but the chef was great at the hibachi station. The food and chef made this rating a 4 star

My friends and I had a quick reunion at this place last night. The environment is decent and clean. The chef is friendly and funny. I got the steak hibachi, and my friends got shrimp and salmon. We all love our food! I would recommend this place to anyone.

The food here is pretty good and the hibachi is always enjoyable. The service however is lacking. I've been there a couple times and hibachi is better than getting a normal table. If you sit at a normal table it will take quite a while to get your food no matter what you order. It also takes FOREVER to get a table. Even when it's slow it still has taken over ten minutes for someone to come up to the front to sit my group and the other groups that were waiting. The staff would see us waiting and just walk away. The only reason we stayed long enough to get a table was because we had already bought a coupon on Groupon that usually costs $25-30 but pays for $40 worth of your food.

Great fusion joint. I had the beef teriyaki and chicken katsu dinner combo. Very filling! They also have hibachi, but have not tried it yet.

The food was delicious. My kids loved it! We didn't have a reservation but the hostess fit us in. Everyone was very nice.

Good Food and Atmosphere. Portion sizes are small which forces you to upcharge your meal with rice or noodles. Family of 4 will add up quick with these charges. Good food ,but pricey.

Nice place, great decor. Service was good. No complaints but not outstanding. They did seat and serve our large party quickly but there was almost nobody else there. I had the hibachi steak which was very nice.

I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a marvelous evening and the place was undoubtedly one of the reasons for that outstanding gathering. The crew participated in a lovely way, the food was tasty and my buddies were so overjoyed. We shall surely come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

This place is amazing! The food is delicious! The chefs are funny and always interacting! Waiters always stay on top of refills and checks! Very clean! Best hibachi around!

I’m not going to go on a long rant here, just that my wife and I go to a lot of Japanese/Asian restaurants and we’ve had much better Asian food. Our service wasn’t that great, and both my wife and I agreed the flavor and whole experience was just “eh.” Prices were very reasonable and that might be its only saving grace. Come if you are looking for a quick Asian fix, don’t come expecting top shelf stuff.

Newly renovated so do not be discouraged by the outside. Hibachi was entertaining with chef thoroughly entertaining throughout unlike some restaurants. The taste however was a 50/50 review. The hibachi shrimp were flavorful and some of the better shrimp I've had but my date ordered filet that tasted very bland/dry and wasnt seasoned? Very strange for hibachi where things are usually over done. Been back for just sushi and all rolls we tried were very good! In all well be back, just not for Filet!

My favorite place to go for Hibachi. Great food, excellent service and fun atmosphere. Good value for the price because you get quite a lot of food cooked how you like it right in front of you on the hibachi side. There is also a traditional dining experience as well where you can order a la carte. Excellent service and quality there as well with a wide variety of Japanese and Chinese dishes available. Check out their menu before going and you will not be disappointed with the choices.

I come to this special place every couple of days since I love the good mood that is unique to this place. The personel is exceptionally helpful and well trained. The service is extraordinarily rapid. Also, the food they cook is exceptionaly good. I ate there more than once and I was always happy. The rate is honest. I highly suggest this place to to everybody.

If you've been to one Hibachi you've been to them all. The show isn't much of anything new, the food is same as it is at every Hibachi, but the quality is consistent here. They have a 15% off coupon in the "Clipper" magazine which, if you're going with more than 2 people, it is highly recommended you bring it along. The meals here have noodles a la carte and it isn't a Hibachi without adding them to the meal. If I could be critical of anything it is that the seafood is slightly overcooked on the flat top grills, the scallops take the abuse the hardest, but the seasoning comes through. Still delicious, just a critique.

I've been going to mizuki for years, we always choose this place for friends birthday dinners but no more. They have gone down hill with their service and friendliness. I called 2 days prior to reserve seats to take my mother out for a nice hibatchi dinner for her birthday and it was a nightmare. They whited out my name and party number to write someone else in and pushed my reservation back with out my knowledge. Dinner was terrible I did not get everything I ordered and we were not paid attention to at all. The waitress never came back to refill drinks or anything. I highly reccomend chosing another place for anyone in the future. I have never had a bad experience at Sogo in denville. This place was a waste of time and a.huge disappointment for my mothers birthday dinner.

This is one of the better sushi and Asian restaurants in the Roxbury area. It is BYOB, which is great. It is also inexpensive for the quality product you receive.My wife and I generally go here for sushi. However, we have also had the Thai basil fried rice, which is highly recommended, and the standard fare (General Tso's, Sesame chicken, Pad Thai, etc.) is also of high quality. The price matches with the product and the inside is clean and well maintained. Definitely worth the visit.

Excellent as always ! The food is great and the staff is helpful. The owners are very nice to us customers.I had the filet mignon and scallops Hibachi dinner and it was delicious ! The steak was melt in your mouth tender and the scallops perfect.

Wow I have to say me and my boyfriend are sushi eaters and been to a few places but this one is by far the best!!! Service was amazing, clean place, food so fresh. Definitely recommend and will be back 5 stars !!!

We saw such a high rating we decided to have dinner here with the family. Boy we were extremely dissapointed with the lack and confused staff providing service. One didn't know if the other took the order or even took our check. As for the food, well it was way too salty for my taste but this I will leave each of you to decide for yourself. I was expecting much better experience and taste of food. I would give it 2.5 stars for this restaurant.
